Words & Circus

I kept your secret and we fell in love.
We built a home filled with hugs.
You were beside me and suddenly
you leave.
I'm sorry but the show must go on...
For I am free.

When you join
you might lose your soul
while selling your hopes for
cotton candy and trampolines.

Your dreams are gone
and no one's around
to avoid giving in
to false desires.

Don't runaway
your home will forever remain
empty without you
gloomy in despair.

Life in the circus
is no life at all.
come back, please do
before it's ink in the paper
that imprisons your core.
