I love Him

I love Him. He puts up with me. He doesn't need me. Oh no, it is I who lacks all good things; I'm in desperate need of Him. Daily, continually. Today, I came across a conversation I had earlier this year with one of my favorite professors. I tend to write and doodle on my notebooks, a habit God saw useful in recording what happened that day in the classroom. He would teach me obedience.
And so, the class started, as it always did, with prayer. The unusual thing was, however, that the teacher decided he wouldn't pray that day.

Teacher: "Would a lovely woman of God like to pray?"
God: "Beloved, raise your hand."
me: ...mmm... I don't know. I don't have the words.
God: "But you have the anointing."
(To this, no one raised their hands. No one would volunteer. I was still fighting to obey my Lover's voice.)
Teacher: "Alright. Is anyone here fluent in Spanish?"
(I looked around in the room. Same stillness. No one raised their hands. Of course they wouldn't... no one was fluent in any other language but English.)
me: Of course Lord, I would be the only fluent Spanish speaker in the class. "I am fluent in Spanish," I said as I raised my hand.
Teacher: "Would you pray for us in Spanish, then?"
me: "Yes."

I did have the words, after all. The teacher even told me that, even though he didn't understand what I said, the room was filled with the Spirit. Praise God! He used me, in spite of me. Lesson learned: I will obey His voice. He is capable of narrowing it all so that the end result is still the same. He didn't have to speak to me, much less call me twice. But He did.
I love Him. He called and He will fulfill what He planned. All for His glory.
I love Him. And yes, the classroom is a place of learning indeed.
I love Him. To love Him is to obey.
