You shall go out in joy

posted on: 5.22.2012

This weekend has been nonstop. No, but really, I don't stop.
Grateful I got away from the frenzy for a little bit.
The hills swallowed me for a day and I was surrounded by nature.
We explored the foreign scenery and saw the most peculiar things like a cemetery on a hill and a creek we found by listening to the sounds in the wind.
The creek was not visible but it was there.
We only had to listen and follow its voice.
We found it when we sought it.
I actually wonder if the creek wanted to be found...
[nature always points to its Creator]

“For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands." —Isaiah 55:12

And of course, the Lord captivated me during my getaway.
It''s amazing that no matter where I go, I never get away from Him. He is ever so present.
How can you lift your eyes into creation and not see Him?
I see Him everywhere, I feel Him everywhere.
He comes and takes my breath away; I am lead forth in peace.
This verse in Isaiah is a witness of the times that are near.
I'm finally leaving the wilderness season.
Can you imagine the hills singing? The trees clapping?
This day reminded me of the words from the Psalmist:
"...He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
     he refreshes my soul."

The time to rejoice has come.
