Oh, my heart: be still.
A new journal is about to start being written. The last entry from the last journal consisted on my engagement story. It marked the end of a season—a hard one—and the beginning of a new one.
Sometimes I cry of sadness, other times I can't contain my joy.
I continue to strive to be faithful with the little God has given me, so I'll be able to be faithful with the big things He will give me; marriage.
I still can't believe I'm engaged, called to this amazing man who's shown me what humility & grace really mean. He has been the display of what I'm often not but should be. He's been a reflection of God in many ways.
By no means are we perfect—we are both very passionate in our agreements and disagreements.
Yet, somehow we glorify God better together than apart.
The road ahead is unknown to me and I rest on the truth that God knows.
He knows where I'm headed, who I will become & where I shall serve Him the most. In fact, He planned it this way.
Changes are inevitable; ready or not here they come.
"Largo camino me resta..."
—Selah—
I'm just grateful that God is faithful, even when I'm not.

ReplyDeleteIm excited for your new season in life. The process of becoming a wife, then being a wife is amazing. You're entering a lifelong ministry that will surely be your favorite :) Praying that you grow in wisdom and holiness in this season.
Pretty please read the book "Feminine Appeal" by Carolyn Mahaney and find an older, married, Godly woman to study it with you. Its a great book and it really changed me as a wife. Im sure it will bless you as well :)

Your blog is beautiful! and congratulations on the engagement! yay!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for documenting your life through journaling. It's so easy to think that blogging is enough, but I know that, for me at least, I don't always write everything in a public space the way I would if it was just mine.
ReplyDeleteI love this post, and your blog! I will definitely be following to read more of your great writing and hear about this exciting engagement :) This is such an exciting new season in life for you!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. I so wish that I was better at journaling. You will love that later. I wish so bad that I would have journaled during our newly-married life. You will LOVE those journals later!
